' Making music through touchless interaction'

Team project together with Olaf Corduwener, Joeri Oomen and Martijn Kelderman.

The project was a follow up of an earlier project for the 'Klankspeeltuin' (sound playground). Goal was to further develop the concept of making music through a touchless interaction and implement it in a high quality functional prototype.

Result is SONO, a large interactive sculpture that enables people to modulate sound effects using gestures within a 3 dimensional field above one of the three goblets. Additional feedback on the hand position is provided by light effects. The setup invites people to play together in groups of three persons.

With the project result my team and I participated in the 'SIDeR Conference 2009' and we presented our work at the 'Dutch Design Week 2009'.
